This is a GT Backwoods.
It originally came with Shimano Deore components except the crankset, which were a shitty suntour and got replaced by me after just one week of usage in 2002 when i bought it. It is a 2001 model and i made a lot of changes to it.
I changed the wheels from Deore hubs with ZAC 19 rims to a rear XT disc brake hub in champagne, a DT Onyx black 20mm thruAxle hub in the front and Mavic rims (forgot the model) and black DT-Swiss competition spokes with aluminium nipples.
I also replaced the Deore cantilever brakes and shifter-brake lever combo with a set of Deore XT 9-spd shifters and Magura Julie disc brakes front and rear and also changed from a Deore rear derailleur to a Deore XT shadow rear derailleur.
The fork originally was a frame color matching turkuos painted Judy XC which i replaced with a white Psylo SL with 20mm thruAxle. Tires are Ritchey TomSlick 32-559 ETRTO and they replaced the Tioga MTB tires on the bike.
The front hub can spin for ages. It's almost spooky.
