In Philly you can see a lot of buildings that were historical but their facade and windows got covered up in the 60s. Also in my hometown I can think of one. There’s also a building in my hometown which was very classical and ornamented but they chiseled off the architectural details in the 60s. It’s cringe-inducing.
Remember in the 60s the space race was going on so people thought brutalism without windows was cool and futuristic.
