i scrolled through reddit for validation and some people are running front and rear brakes especially with drop levers. i still intend to do a fair amount of backpedaling but i guess if you're going to have a pair of brake levers anyway it won't hurt to have a bit more control in the rear.
potential advantages of having a rear brake?
>brake more safely on slippery surfaces
>scrub speed off mid-corner
>backup if the front brake fails or gets grit stuck in the brake pad
>slow down faster/with less backpedaling effort (especially from a high speed) without wearing out the front rim too much
disadvantages
>couple hundred grams of weight
>unfashionable? (but doesn't matter where i live, i will look like a UFO anyway to these casual normies)
