Which would you buy? Prices are in Aussie Dollars not US
Leaning toward the BIG.NINE SLX because I dislike Tektro brakes and it has the best groupset offerings, especially as I can upgrade the chain and cassette as I go, but I have no experience with modern Manitou forks, I didn't even know they still existed
Marin is slacker and allows for bigger wheels if I want to down the line, which is nice cause I'm not gunna be racing, but I really don't intend much trail riding on this either just singletrack and fire roads.
>>1657448I love hardtails, I'm looking for a new one right now obviously, and I think everyone can have a load of fun on them, but if what you're doing requires full suspension then don't get a hardtail
That said where I've lived (UK/Australia) tonnes of people overbike themselves with 150mm+ travel enduro bikes for fireroads, single track and airless 'bike parks' which are nothing close to the offerings the yanks have. There are tonnes of people slogging huge enduro bikes around the welsh countryside when a hardtail would be easier to work with, cost substantially less, and give them just as much if not more fun on the downhills
