>>1709168Get a power meter. The weight you can lift in weightlifting is like the watts you can put out on a bike. The different peak powers sustained at different durations give you a power curve, it's very rewarding to improve your numbers like it is being able to lift bigger weights. You can do this on either mtb or road but road usually puts more of an emphasis on power. For muscle volume you probably want to focus on sprints i.e. 5s/30s power.
I'd recommend picrel, which they make for various cranksets or just buy one with a crankset already. Fuck SRAM/Quarq for buying up and killing off powertap. Also fuck single arm power meters your legs might naturally be wildly unbalanced (which is fine you don't want balance but you don't want to fool yourself either by multiplying your stronger leg x2).
