>>1754001Yeah Ive had the opposite experience with my first drop bars ever, ritchey venturemax XL wide/flared drops. The drops are very comfortable and familiar to me who has ridden nothing but flat bars for 12 years of mtb, the hoods are fucking alien feeling (although the neutral body position of them is comfy), but the drops feel just like normal although narrower mtb bars, especially with one fingertip on the brakes like mtb riding, they’re basically the same handlebar position as ultra-sweep mtb bars with low rise. Drops are the ONLY place to be when descending technical DH, hoods aren’t even in the fucking equation after a certain level of roughness.
