>>1999888>>1999891Well, it doesn't work as it should now. The current shifter is for less than 9 gears, I think it's 7 or 8 speed indexed. The rear wheel got tacoed and LBS sold me those 16 spokes for like $80. It'll shift but it isn't great, and doesn't allow all gears to be used. It's also missing the front derailleur and left side shifter so I need shifters to begin with. If indexing is a challenge to set up I'll pass, but I'm also not above getting a fresh rear derailleur.
The frame is a 1994 Raleigh r40, it's nothing special at all.
At the end of the day I'd just like it functional and clean. I have the cash, tools, and space, just lack the bike knowledge
At minimum I need
>Front derailleur>Shifters>Possibly rear derailleur.
