>>1085796they're like if you made bulletproof Freeriders. big, stiff, kinda roomy in the toe box. they still click-clack when you walk with the cleat in on pavement, no getting around that. they moderately suck for hiking up steep trails because they're flat as shit like Freeriders with the added penalty of slipping out if you put force through the cleat in stride and it happens to be on a rock or root but that is true of all clipless shoes. i wouldn't say they're bad for course walks or a couple miles of hike, but they're definitely purpose-built to be attached to a bike.
i will say that they feel good to wear while riding and i 100% wish the Hellcat came in a flat sole for platforms because i would pick that shoe over the Freerider in all situations.
