>>1957648Thanks for the comment. I've done this before, and it worked. This time it just won't work right.
I've tried pulling the cable too tight, keep it loose or doing it "just right".
I've tried adjusting through the barrel on the RD and the one on the shifters (pic).
I didn't try messing with the b-screw but it doesn't seem to matter because it definitely always gets to the biggest cog (34) no problem.
The problem is the "descent" of the chain: it either clunks very hard, it's reluctant to do so, sometimes it jumps and gets out of the front chainring.
No matter how much fine tuning I do, there is always one cog that is completely fucked-up.
Talking numbers: if it's not 24 (click shifter once and it goes 22-34) it's 20 (click to go down to 20 and it goes down to 18 instead).
I've tried resetting the high limit, with or without playing with the barrel adjusters. Nothing, if that works fine then some other gear will skip.
It could be anything except maybe the RD and the crankset (it jumps in the front because it fucks up in the back)
1. Chain (99% sure it's long enough, I wish there was a formula beyond "le three extra links")
2. Shifter (not a shimano but shimano-compatible), it's one of those "click once, shift once, click all the way to shift twice", it could be the indexing is not working because the shifter ain't good.
3. Freewheel (maybe it's worn out but I'm not seeing it).
