Pic related is a Nexus from a bike that got flooded and had dirty river water sit in it for a bit over 2 years. Like, water came out when I opened it. Probably would've been fine if it had been serviced better before the flood and hadn't sat for so long afterwards. I think the problem is that because you can't actually see that the hub is dry as shit inside, people ignore maintenance, even when it's as simple as pouring 30mL of moderate oil in once or twice a year.
