What do you think of this sort of thing? Horwin CR6 Pro. Reviewers get about 60mph out of it and 65 miles off a charge (3 hour charge, regular plug).
Seems like it could be a decent enough solution for me, currently I'm living about 18 miles from my work, but I like out in the countryside, no public transport near me, so I take the car to work every day, just an old Jag S-Type that's a comfy old barge. but then I was talking to a fella in work about his electric car, and I was enlightened about just how little the charging on the damn things cost, he does about a 70 mile commute daily both ways and said it costs him about £1.70 to charge what he's used each night. I'm guessing then that the bike would cost literal pennies?
Fuel here is currently £1.70-£1.75 per litre and with this Russia thing I don't see it doing anything but go up further in the near or even far future. Reckon I could make fairly large savings on not taking the car to work daily, or even down to the shops etc to get groceries?
I tried cycling the route before, but the first half of it is single and dual lane country roads (60mph limit) and the other drivers have no fucking chill whatsoever if you're doing less than 35mph, its too dangerous for me to want to consider that, its not all that flat either.
Reckon something like the above "e-motorbike" is worth a punt to replace the car for going back and forth to work? Just use the car when its a really shit day outside, lashing down with rain or whatever?
