The thing is, since it's an ancient British bike, one can't get spares from anywhere. And nothing is straight, nether the wheels nor the front chainring.
I'm thinkikg of updating to titanium or anorher steel road frame with that 7 speed 1st gen shimano casette. And keep the best thing that has: the down tube shifters :) Too bad we have too many transient backpack workrrs and the distribution of pipe cutters and (battery) angle grinders is too damn high.
