this comment is from 14 years ago and it mentions the blackspire mono veloce (an aluminium chainring). the surly chainrings have probably existed for 20+ years. that's how slow the development is for track/fixed gear components. surly, blackspire and gebhardt were the ones i looked at before i lost interest in them and decided to stick with the stock sram s300 chainring until the litepro chainring caught my eye. keep in mind the prices have crept up over time and it would be costly to source certain brands depending on where you live and such.
