I live in the UK and it's apparently illegal to ride a bike on the pavement (sidewalk). I'd like to be able to do that, it could make a lot of things easier and it would be preferrable to not be on liveleak. I have a young relative who may be getting a bike as a gift and they can use it for going to school and back. I'm honestly terrified for them because of the law that you can only use designated bike trails, and there aren't that many where I live, and standard roads. I don't even know how to phrase the question. Pic related, this is what I see when I thinking of riding a bike.
