And you know how we know these are objectively unethical? They set an arbitrary date for them to expire! There is no objective reason a patent should expire in 7 or 17 years? If they were ethical then they would never expire! But they are just another mechanism that big players use authority to fuck over the little guy. They are objectively one of the prime instruments of "crony capitalism." Totally not free market at all.
