i'm going to buy clamp on dt shifters in order to convert my ss to a 1x7 , so i decided to stick a fake lever on the downtube to try and get used to the position of shifting. I found it quite awkard at times and think it might be better if i place the shifters close to the drop on the bars, like in the head tube
i found pic related and thought it was neat. have any of you anons ever ride a bike with head tube (not stem) shifters? is it more stable on the act of changing gears while in the drops? peharps placing them on the top tube might give the same effect, but i'm worried about hitting my knee on it while upright
