I work with various conservation groups in the PNW and every time I go to a meeting or trail work party I hear about shit like plans to build a 100 car parking lot at a trailhead that 5 years ago was almost unknown but now gets packed every weekend. And none of the fuckers who have flooded into this area care about concepts like leave no trace, so our wilderness is going to get fucked up. Meanwhile, Oregon just got a new transportation commission head and to nobody's surprise he's an auto industry simp, and he's in charge of selecting a new director of our DOT.
