>>1109052Exactly- Shimano was so behind the times. Campy had fantastically designed integrated shifters since the '90s, and it took Shimano until the late '00s to get rid of that awful design. I'm somewhat tempted to find some 5700 shifters for the braking, but the shifting on those first generation under-the-tape units was awful, plus it's not even my bike.
>>1109054I don't plan on it, but the friend I'm borrowing it from used to take it with him on business trips often, so it has been. It isn't that stiff, but it's not terribly flexy either, I've only had one other steel frame bike (a Bianchi Veloce) and it's not noticeably worse than that.
