The first tower of the CIBC Square (formerly Bay Park Centre) broke ground today.
The first phase of the complex will be the new home of the Union Station Bus Terminal and possibly the Toronto Coach Terminal. It is expected to be completed in 2020.
The construction of the second tower will start at a later date, it will be built on the site of the existing bus terminal. It is expected to be completed in 2023.
In addition, both towers will be joined by a park on top of the tracks.
