I bought a rim and accidentally got sent a wrong one. An older model that is not tubeless friendly.
I meant to buy a nukeproof generator rim based on the wtb frequency rim but got this older model that is just a nukeproof branded sun ringle Inferno rim.
I got my money back and even I got to keep the rim as the correct version was sold out.
Anyway can the rim be set up tubeless? I would still like to use this rim because it matches my rear wheel and I find it pretty hard to find a yellow am/dh rim.
I have no experience in tubeless conversions as all of my previous tubeless set ups have been done with proper tubeless rims. I was thinking that I'd try to use gorilla tape to make the rim profile more suitable for tubeless.
Would that just be wasting my time? Should I get a different rim and forget this one as I have gotten my money back already?
