>>1110539Very nice. I got a sailing job about a month after I joined while a lot of my fellow cadets were still waiting to get a shot on an OSV. MEBA might only have like 7 or 8 ships with deck contracts, but it's a very friendly union and very much on your side. Job call is very open (and not backdoor shipping as fuck like AMO), and I think it's safe to say MEBA is the "best" of all the unions in the industry. They're on the level, they don't strike, and they still have a pension plan on top of medical benefits.
