>>1610784The only LBS near me that does a proper bike fit are assholes who try to upsell you on anything and I'm a poorfag riding beaters I customize. The others are more just mechanics and parts shops.
>>1610786There are still flowcharts based on "where does X hurt/feel uncomfortable"? I just don't have the compiled knowledge to write all this shit down perfectly. Though I might make it a longterm project to try to compile everything if it annoys me enough.
>>1610791Not for bike SIZING, bike fitting. I'm aware some like that james dude say to get fit before a bike but with the enormous variety available and for how long bikes have been around it should be relatively easy to go like
>are you having to shimmy side to side to reach the pedals?>Y: Your seat is too highAnd then once everything is adjusted you can tell if your bike is too big/small to actually work for you.
>>1610788I am that autist among my friends but I don't hang around in bike shops because they have work to do, they're not cafes. I am just constantly tinkering with things across multiple bikes and have to keep refreshing and researching to know what else I have to adjust.
I'd rather cut 80% of the time out that I spend reading cycling "journalists" plagiarizing each other, watching videos from people who break them up because they're shilling their in-person fit on the other side of the world, stupid forums that are more shitposting than here, and trial-and-error testing that are a cavalcade of wrong decisions.
