The ET2010 is a tram-train vehicle by Bombardier, 30 of them were ordered in 2009 to add to the existing 121 dual-voltage trains on Karlsruhes tram-train network.
After Bombardier's plant was flooded, it took 3 years from order to delivery.
Then, the brakes were too weak and the doors took too long to open and close, it took another two years after delivery to get the necessary certifications for both tram and train service.
