>>1752353Actually based, the best bike for inner city use is a bike you don't mind losing, it's also great if it rides well, something incredibly liberating about leaving a bike locked up to railing with absolutely zero fear or anxiety even as you notice the sheer amount of excess melanin loitering in the immediate proximity.
picrel is my town bike, a lovely rider and a lot of fun but it cost me less than £130 all in, I earn that in a couple of hours on a good day. My other bikes are another matter of course, too rare to replace and too valuable to risk, even with insurance I'd never be able to really replace them, this old mtb though, literally two a penny
