>>1563221>Since suburbs aren't going insolvent left and right I'm inclined to believe he's full of shitfair. But not to be elitist, but have a look a pic related. The much acclaimed 1947 implemented finger plan for Copenhagen. But as much good it has done for Copenhagen, the other cities in Denmark that hasn't got an equal strategy, has become much more car dependant, and has developed much weaker suburbs, with a worse ratio of unemployed, and worse of population by most metrics.
the beauty of this plan, was it assigned a "prioritized road" now motorway obviously, and quality rail service for all corridors, which is now a well know sub-urb class railroad. The effect of this, is that all the towns along the lines first of all grew, but now has a population more well of in any metric, that those living in the few towns that grew outside the network. House prices are higher the closer you are to the stations, not because were all socialist, but because you'll always have decent transportation options available, and even to the business man and CEO, that's a factor that means he doesn't have to drive his kids around. And the number of unemployed, but easily employable by there motivation and skills, are very low. But you'll always have alkoholics, drug addicts and stuff. I don't imply those doesn't exist.
