>>1205926It's not your fault, bicycles are completely counter intuitive and you need to trust in your confidence as well as be brave. The reason for that is because bicycles (and other forms of 2 wheeled vehicles) gain balance the faster you go. Not only that but once you gain enough speed for the bike to self balance, countersteering becomes a thing. Countersteering is very counter intuitive on paper because a beginner would imagine turning the bike left, he would need to push on the right handle to point the front wheel towards the left. That is wrong, pushing the right handle will make the bike move towards the right. It's not something you'd instinctively do unless you rode from an early age or threw down enough saddle time to figure that out.
This is why you see a bunch of weebly wobbly riders on bikeshares because they're trying to force the wheel the direction they want to move yet the bike is making the opposite motions. Anyways, first things first, pedal hard and fast enough to make a bike self balance.
