Yeah I do use the granny gear for steep ascents. Not into pedalling downhill, I just coast. But for the flats, and slight downhills, Im spinning out.
I read Giant/ Praxis had issues with these 1x10s but it's been 100% no issue for me. I went from a cheap 3x8 that always needed tinkering, to 2x8, it was fine but didn't like the bike. Then went 1x10 not realizing it's a lot less gear options
>>1738704Hmm how's your used bike option? If 500 euros a big deal, Definitely do not bike a brand new bicycle. I suggest getting something with at least 37mm wide tires, or can fit at least 37mm tires. 40mm+ a good do-it-all fast bike. If you favor comfort, go 29" MTB with 2.0-2.3" tires
