tange prestige concept, so the best tange tubing available for mtb at the time (ritchey logic was the absolute best steel on the market, and the top of the line model, 1 up of rocky mountain had that or titanium)
ritchey dropouts, ritchey stem/post/bars
Deore XT before XTR so top of the line group
handbuilt wheels with XT hubs.

rocky mtns in the era won XC national champs, world cups, etc. It's basically peak rigid 90s mtb. Extremely fun to ride.

yes, but shimano mtb groups had cantis until XTR in the late 90s so you'll probably get cantis on a rigid bike anyway. Those cantis are really good too, with kool stops.

and they have the right pull for drop levers.
