I'm worried about carbon failing when riding in the drops, I like my carbon hardtail MTB, but I dunno whether to spend more $$$ on a heavier titanium frame, or just get a well-reviewed Chinese carbon frame. I'm aware that titanium isn't THAT much heavier.
I'm not retarded, I know how to check for the ring of death, use a steerer plug etc, but still I don't want the fork to snap while barreling downhill, hunched over at 30mph.
