Shifting of FD-R7000 is really hard, to the point where I'm afraid I'll break my shifter. Also squeaky when the cable tensions.
So I took the chain off. I sprayed the whole derailleur with wd40, cleaned it, let it dry. I applied some grease to pivot points.
Now it's a bit better, but it still kinda feels wrong.
Cable tension is ok according to the manual, I adjusted it.
Is it a good idea to take the derailleur off and give it an ultrasonic cleaner bath? Will it clean all the dust/sand/grit/whatever?
Additionally this red element fell off when I removed the screw, I dunno if it's important. I took the whole number 2 element apart. It was full of dirt/sand.
I spent half of my afternoon on this, it's kinda frustrating. But I don't want to order a new one yet. I did about 25k km on this one, it should last much more I think.
