It's rich old people, who have had a lot of nice bikes in their time. My neighbor has a pegorretti (the paint is pretty subtle compared to this). He's like 75.
He also has a couple carbon LOOKS and an S-Works, and some steelies like a Merckx, all 5+ years old but very good condition.
He rides the Peg the most because the ride is comfiest. When you're rich and old and like expensive bikes buying and riding expensive bikes makes sense, and if you're also like 15kg overweight and out of shape, and old, then them being carbon superbikes doesn't.
