About 3 years ago I was delighted to find a Greyhound route between a medium Georgia town I lived in and a medium North Carolina town about 60 miles past my destination. Great I thought, I'll just get the driver to drop me off on the side of the road and then wave him down a few days later just like back in the 1970's. But they don't do that anymore. Also you can't really hitch hike anymore either. The culture has changed.
