It is impossible for the legislation and initiatives needed to alleviate climate change to happen in a representative democracy. No politician on either side would willingly vote to dismantle their constituents' suburban developments and cancerous megacities, and they would rather get reamed by non-recyclable wind turbine blades before approving any new nuclear power stations.
It's over. All anybody is doing by bitching about it now is fundraising for people who want to die in a comfier bed than yours.
