That doesn't change the fact that Tegel was a bold, brave, and elegant airport design for its era, aiming for convenience and simplicity. BER is none of those things, its an irritating, badly planned, bland and overcommercialized mess, so you know what, it's the perfect airport for the modern Berlin.
