Obviously an 8 ft street would be tight for a firetruck but no street ends with a wall right next to it unless you are in medieval Europe. Thats why I said 15 ft max for residential. You can nearly fit 2 firetrucks next to each other but would never necessary. This is some random residential street in Sweden, bidirectional with parking and its 17 ft wide. The one way streets in that neighborhood are even more narrow. It even has garbage pick up with street parking. If I went with Dutch streets, they would be even more narrow.
