Anyways all the shit you said is wack. If you take a bike on a test ride, modern or retro, and it has weird ergonomics, feels noodly, and is worn, why would you buy it? Old =/= bad, modern=/=good
Old bikes are more similar to modern bikes than they are different. If you can't handle a crank puller and loose bearings you you'd probably be the type to take your bike to a shop anyways.
