>>1316852that's not fair. the list of disc-bikes on offer by manufacturers is growing; it's definitely harder to find caliper brake bikes these days, and there's an explanation for it but we won't find it here because everybody is just going to argue over perceived benefits and shortcomings of each braking solution. the facts are: disc brakes are heavier so they're only better if you're running carbon rims all the time or if you're riding massive descents+riding in wet climate often enough to rationalize it.
