So really the Falcons are better due to greater efficiency. Lower cost means greater access to space. Greater access can only be a good thing.
I know some people would say "but the shuttle was cool" and yes it was, but that doesn't mean I want it back. The Motorola DynaTAC was cool, but I'm not going to be replacing my smartphone with it any time soon. Also did you know that DynaTACs cost the equivalent of around $10k in today's money? Crazy.
