>>1778477Didn't fully answer your question. Usually I like to drive or walk across them, take pictures of the span, and then see if I can find a way underneath to get a good view of the trusses and whatnot. One time I kayaked under the New River Gorge bridge and that was very impressive.
I like railroad bridges the best though. Picrel is one that goes over I-24 west of Chattanooga. Last year on my way home from the beach I parked in the closest town trying to walk and get some pics of the underside, but it got dark before I could make it.
