>>1952196Occasionally military convoy vehicles would pass me by. In Horozhanka I could hear and see fighter aircraft flying above me at night. They fly low and make an extremely unpleasant sound. Thought it was missiles at first.
I experienced my first air raid sirens in Mohyliw-Podilskyj, on the border with Moldova. It interrupted border crossing procedures for about ten minutes until the coast was clear. People didn't really give a fuck though. It's an unlikely place to get targeted.
The second time I heard the siren alert was on my dedicated farm track to spend the night at near Tatarbunary in Southern Ukraine. First when I was about ready to get to sleep, another time waking me up in the middle of the night and then two times in the early morning hours before sunrise. Not exactly a pleasant feel desu. You don't REALLY believe anything is actually going to hit you but you do feel somewhat vunerable just lying in your sleeping bag in an open field. It's kind of surreal. The missiles ended up hitting Izmail, Ukraine's largest port on the Danube, about 90km from where I was.
That's about it I guess.
