Hello, ge/n/tlemen.
I've been struggling with my Trek road bike. I'm 173cm tall with an inseam of 78cm, which landed me dead straight on a 54cm frame in their chart.
However, the bike feels too long. It has a 90mm stem and an 85mm handlebar reach. Both are considered short already. I've tried to reduce the reach by flipping the stem up, but that put the handlebar too high up, which is just as uncomfortable.
Can this be corrected much with a narrower handlebar with less reach and a shorter stem?
How far can I go before the steering gets fucked up?
Also, what does getting thigh cramps often mean? I've been taking magnesium but it's hardly had an effect. They aren't painful, but they're quite annoying.
Thanks in advance for any input.
