Also I take the 27.5” Capra to Tamarack bike park, it has a couple serious blacks and double blacks with real chunky tech and some optional drops (pic related) but I’d assume it’s nothing insanely challenging on the grand scale of things. Obviously because there’s no uphill I’d want a DH bike, but the Capra is really capable there, I was planning on buying a DH bike after the Capra last summer but it’s so good going downhill I decided to just buy a coil shock for it and bump both travels up to 180mm from 170. And I’ll get new burlier tires eventually. The only issue I’ve had with the Capra for dh is that the bottom bracket is so low I have to hop around some bigger technical rocks and be careful not to pedal strike, adding extra travel helped a lot but it’s still a low bike. I’ve ridden it on local XC-like trails too, it’s definitely slow but it feels really efficient and low-effort compared to my 29” Chromag hardtail, it’s a really pleasant ride feel (but it’s very slow)
