that being said electric driven fans are viable but direct drive weighs less although distributed thrust might make up for it
and batteries are more toxic and centrally produced than biofuel which has 95 percent the energy density of traditioal hydrocarbons and is carbon neutral and can be made with nothing but waste products and microbes or just solar energy via photosynthesis
