The cost of living is so exorbitant in many places like CA and Washington that it's easy for people to be fully employed in jobs that pay more than minimum and still be homeless and waiting for Section 8 housing. The artificial housing scarcity created by the banks needs to be dealt with. Problem is, dealing with it risks popping the real estate bubble, which means more rounds of QE and more war to keep the USD propped up.
