But yeah really HSR doesnt benefit as many people as would metropolitan rail projects. If you notice even in Japan Shinkansen stations that are served by other rail tend to have double the passenger use as stations that dont.
Also I get fuel cell stuff but why not do something like the EV-E301? Where the only electrical infrastructure you need is at the end of the lines.
