He's trying to tell me how completely different they are, and gave me these two images as an example. I see the exact same bike, except one is using fancier equipment. His current one isn't as fancy as the one on the left by the way. Looks much more basic like the bottom one, just a bit more "sporty".

He's spewing buzzwords like "crankset, frame material, BCD ratio". No idea what any of that means, but to me it's the same type of bike, with one just being more expensive. Some explain where I'm wrong.
