>>1123628It's really clapped out. Even after taking it to my local bike shop for a full service/ tune up, the shifters just plain suck, the brakes aren't trustworthy downhill, and the geometry makes it feel like you're going to endo. She feels it too "I feel like I'm gonna fly over the handlebars" (Which I have when I was younger) Tires are decent for our terrain, 26" is super easy to pedal. She doesn't like how it rattles clanks and clunks over every little bump, and it's too small for her. It's my 'lil mountain goat tho. It's a Small frame, super lightweight aluminum, at 6'2" I can manhandle that thing like a BMX bike no problem. Time for an upgrade. I will give the C-Dale to my niece, how often do you find bikes that are painted "Handmade in USA"? I won't sell it.
If I get her a 27.5" Medium frame I think we can both appreciate it. She's 5'6", I think that's borderline for Medium frame bikes though. Since it will be a hardtail, I'm thinking of going wide tires for comfort and stability. That C-Dale has 1.75" I thought was a good idea for less rolling resistance. Instead, she hates the feeling like it will wash out from under you. Now I know safety/stability is better than ease of pedalling/ rolling resistance
