I'm
>>1002636All done now, needed to get new cables after all but not too expensive, even though I went for genuine Shimano polymer coated everything. The lbs was going to just cut me some jagwire at a very reasonable price (about $3USD) but I decided to go for the official ultegra stuff.
I'll be honest though, in reassembling my brifter, I did not use genuine Shimano e-ring removal tools. I used a screwdrvier and a spoke wrench (the long flat kind).
Have I voided my warranty?
Will my e-ring pop out and my brifter spontaneously disassemble the next time I descend a mountain?
