Yes. Three dollar chinkshiy tools work just as well as $20 ParkTools. Through there are some tools that require tools in toolsteel and not cheap pot metal. I ended up getting a decent brand of spoke wrench and cone wrenches.

Also making your own tools is the true patrician route, pic related, when I need a second chainwhip for a stuck cassette.
