>>1566210Usually there is a thing for the front mech cable to go through that safely routes it around underneath the bottom bracket. Stuff like pic related used to be pretty standard but everyone is doing internal routing differently so your bike might be different. Most bikes still have something like it though even with internal routing. Some bikes have full housing from the shifter to the derailleur.
